Answer: 6

Solution

From the chromatogram, the spot traveled 3 cm from the baseline and the solvent front traveled 5 cm from the baseline.

Rf = distance traveled by spot / distance traveled by solvent front = 3/5 = 0.6 = 6 × 10⁻¹.
